Area

The area we hunt is located in South Central Montana in the Big Belt Mountains. We currently lease 50,000 acres of a privately owned working cattle ranch. This ranch is one of the main rutting and wintering grounds for elk and mule deer in our area. Located 13 miles west of White Sulphur Springs - Hunting District #446.

Transportation

Provided to and from the Airport in Helena, MT (Saturdays only) - Helena is located 70 miles west of White Sulphur Springs on US HWY 12

Slightly over an hour's drive away.

 

Lodging

It is the client’s responsibility to make accommodation choices and reservations.
Most of our clients have told us that they would prefer to make their own lodging arrangements.
Tri Mountain no longer offers lodging packages.

Our current prices reflect this change.

Licensing

In 2020 all non-resident hunting licenses will be sold through a drawing process. There will be 17,000 B-10 elk/deer combination licenses available.

2020 hunting license changes

Application start date March 1st open until April 1st

Applications must be filled out online

Mail - in applications are no longer accepted

Drawing results will be available two weeks after the April 1st deadline

FWP will no longer mail the licenses - you will need carcass tags to carry with you - so you must print them yourself or go to a license agent in Montana for copies

If you are unsuccessful in drawing a license we will apply your deposit to the following year.
